Okanagan Hillclimb had origins in Okanagan Centre

The Knox Mountain Hillclimb which takes place on May 19th and 20th this year (2012) in Kelowna had its origins in Okanagan Centre and it is interesting to hear local Lake Country resident Richard Gibbons reminisce about the early event (1962-1965) on Camp Road. For Rich’s rendition and photos of Lake Country’s own Hillclimb see Rich’s article which appeared in The View.

  • We would like to contact Richard Gibbons concerning the Knox Mountain Hillclimb history. We are current owners of the 1964 Red Corvette coupe in this article raced by Laurie Craig. This car was also the first Corvette ever driven by Sir Stirling Moss.

  • I will tell Richard of your interest and have him contact you.
