Volunteer & Employment

Volunteer of the Year
Harvey Leamont Past Volunteer of the Year

The backbone of our organization is the dedicated group of Volunteers who give their time so freely to the preservation and presentation of Lake Country history. These volunteers are many including Harvey Leamont, Miriam Bowles, Dianne Johnson, Sandi Harder and Bob Thompson

Just like many of our Volunteers,  Harvey has worked in almost every area of the Lake Country Museum and Archives, providing assistance wherever and whenever necessary. The number of hours that Harvey has volunteered is legend, and his friendly demeanor is appreciated by all.

If you would like to meet new and interesting people and contribute to your community, we have a volunteer project for you. The Lake Country Museum is active in numerous tasks: clipping newspapers, taking and editing photographs, making videos, doing research, entering data, planning public lectures, mounting museum displays, building and garden maintenance, marketing and many other projects. No matter what your skill level or what your particular interests, we probably have a job that you would enjoy. Contact us anytime if you would like to volunteer or need information or if you have a suggestion for our Museum or our website.  We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at the Museum.

To Apply to be a volunteer please print off the volunteer form below and bring it into the Lake Country Museum & Archives or email it to lcmuseum@shaw.ca. There is an optional membership form on the back. We are excited to meet you!
