The Lake Country Heritage and Cultural Society is creating a vintage clothing collection to be used for photography sessions at CentrePiece and other events.
Do you have any vintage (up to the 1930s) clothing or accessories that you would be willing to donate to the Museum? If the articles are valuable heritage articles they would be used for pattern ideas only. Less valuable items would be re-purposed.
Accessories are perhaps the most important items for our collection — hats, caps, collars, parasols, gloves, footwear, etc.
Donations of good quality fabrics (twills, worsteds, muslins, cottons) that could be made into heritage period clothing would also be appreciated, as well as notions such as lace, ribbons and antique buttons.
Please telephone the Museum if you would like to contribute to this new project.
