A recent special awards evening at the Lake Country Rotary Club held some particular significance for our Lake Country Heritage and Cultural Society.
Each year this Rotary Club honours members whose generous contributions to Rotary have earned them the Paul Harris Award. As well, it will from time to time recognize non-members from the community whose efforts deserve special recognition. This year Rotary has chosen to award the Lake Country Museum manager, Shannon Jorgenson, with a Paul Harris.
The local Rotary Club has been spearheading the Community-wide effort to construct a new building as the permanent home for the Lake Country Food Bank. Shannon has been invaluable by providing her professional and personal efforts in writing grant applications to secure funding for the project and has brought the project along most successfully.
The Board of Directors of the Lake Country Cultural and Heritage Society congratulate Shannon on her achievement.
