Leaves: Basal leaves have stalks which sheathe main stem; blades deeply cleft into 3 lobes which in turn are shallowly cleft into 3 toothed lobes; 1 or 2 stem-leaves with shorter stalks, the top one usually stalkless; leaves dark green and shiny
Stems: Stout and round
Blooming Period: May - August as snow melts
Habitat: Marshy areas and wet slopes at higher elevations
