Leaves: Opposite or whorled at intervals along stems; stalks wiry about 5 cm (2") long, dividing into 3 shorter stalks with oval lance-shaped lobes up to 6.5 cm (2 1/2") long 6.5 cm (2 1/2") broad
Stems: Woody, wiry; climbing with tendrils at leaf-nodes
Blooming Period: May - July
Habitat: Damp, open, often mixed deciduous and coniferous woods
