Leaves: 1 or 2 long leaf-stalks branch into 2 or 3 opposite pairs, bearing 3-lobed blades, each lobe is again 3-lobed and sharply toothed; also a terminal blade
Stems: 1 or more which may be branched; may be smooth or slightly hairy
Blooming Period: May - July
Habitat: Moist woods and streambanks from low to high elevations

Poisonous. Berries may be red or white
