Leaves: Narrow, lance-shaped, and narrowing to brownish, downy stem at base; may be 1 or 2 whorls of stem-leaves; leaf blades may be 1.3-5 cm (1/2-2") long and 6-9 mm (1/4-3/8") broad, upper surface greyish-green, lower surface grey due to soft downy hairs
Stems: Flower-stem rigid, round, grey, and downy with 1 or 2 whorls of leaves
Blooming Period: May - July
Habitat: Dry to arid areas in desert-sagebrush slopes and banks
