Leaves: All basal with long stalks, may be up to 25 cm (10") long; blades heart-shaped and may be up to 6.5 cm (2 1/2") broad
Stems: Flower-stems from the base and leafless except for single pair of tiny, pointed bracts halfway up
Blooming Period: May - July
Habitat: Wet sphagnum bogs and meadows
