Leaves: Numerous, mat-like and narrow lance-shaped but broader towards middle, up to 3 cm (1 1/4") long and 5 mm (3/16") broad, covered with silky hairs
Stems: Flower stems very short and leafy
Blooming Period: April - May
Habitat: Dry open slopes in sagebrush areas
