Leaves: Alternate, lower ones with long stalks; blades fan-shaped with from 5 to 7 deeply toothed finger-like leaflets; both stalks and blades covered with coarse hairs; upper leaves become progressively smaller and stalkless
Stems: Rigid, coarsely hairy, branched at summit into flower-stems
Blooming Period: June - August
Habitat: Dry to moist grasslands including sagebrush areas and up to sub-alpine elevations
