Leaves: Many oval, pointed, and almost shiny-green both sides, darker green above than below; almost crinkly with finely-toothed margins; blades 2.5-3.4 cm (1-1 3/8") long and 1.5 cm (5/8") wide; leaf-stalks 2-3 cm (3/4-1 1/4") long
Stems: Branched at base, creeping, reddish above and woody below
Blooming Period: May - August
Habitat: Moist, open woods and coniferous forests and banks
