Each Flower: 4-5 cm (1 1/2-2") long, shaped like a finger-stall with 5 slight lobes, lower one longer almost lip-like, hairy, paler, purple-spotted inside; 4 stamens curve up from base meeting just at top of pistil; 5 broad, pointed sepals; flower-stems 1.3 cm (1/2") long with leaf-like bracts as they join main stem
Leaves: Alternate up stem, pear-shaped, up to 15 cm (6") long and 6.5 cm (2 1/2") broad, slightly-toothed, downy both sides; basal leaves have short, winged stalks
Stems: Rigid, green, and downy
Blooming Period: June - July
Habitat: Mainly roadsides from low to middle elevations
