Leaves: Lower ones dandelion-like with deep indentations, tapering into flat stalks; many narrow, lance-shaped leaves up stem, 5-16.5 cm (2-6 1/2") long, 7 mm-3.5 cm (1/4-1 3/8") broad
Stems: Unbranched below, rigid, round, smooth, exude a milky juice when broken
Blooming Period: June - September
Habitat: Dry to moist shrubby areas and meadows
