Leaves: Opposite and up to 7.5 cm (3") long, narrow and pointed and up to 1.3 cm (1/2") broad and greyish-green with prominent midrib; almost clasping at stem branches
Stems: Rigid, smooth, greyish-green, and jointed at branches-simply branched at upper 2/3
Blooming Period: June - July
Habitat: Drier areas, roadsides, and waste places
