Each Flower: Up to 8 mm (1/3") across; 5 oval-pointed petals, 3 of which are broader and more spatula-shaped and constricted at base with 2 yellow spots where they broaden; 10 orange-red stamens; calyx 5-pointed, reddish, and recurved
Leaves: In rosette at base, with short stalks, broadening into lance- or spatula-shaped blades, shallowly toothed round upper margins; hairy, especially beneath, older leaves becoming reddish
Stems: Slender and reddish and simply branching above with small bract where they branch
Blooming Period: June - August
Habitat: Damp, mountainous areas
