This Thanksgiving Be Thankful and help create a legacy

Rail Trail Donation Matching

October 1 marks the beginning of a 31-day opportunity to match donations, and add up to $1 million to the rail trail development fund!  Donations will be matched up to a total of $500,000 by seven anonymous trail supporters – “The Magnificent Seven” as one radio station described them this week.  During this period, every donor will know that their donations will go further, and that they will help fund the second stage of trail construction for work to begin next spring.

See press release about the donation matching campaign: http://www.kelownacapnews.com/news/394829741.html

This short video, courtesy of Jamie Ross of Shaw TV, pictures some of the last tasks being concluded by CN, and describes the stages of work required to for trail construction.  Drone video footage showcases some sections of the spectacular corridor, making it easy to appreciate the many potential benefits that will only be fully recognized following trail development.   Link to video:  https://youtu.be/xsGQJ4CWQOg

We have an incredible opportunity before us – with this scenic corridor from Coldstream to Kelowna, and with 31 days of donation matching.  Please consider a donation, perhaps you could fund a metre of trail) and forward this email to friends, family, work colleagues, and businesses that you associate with.  It will take a community to create this legacy.
