Display: Heritage Driving Tour
If you’re looking for an interesting way to spend an hour in Lake Country try taking the Heritage Driving Tour. The tour features thirteen heritage locations as well as optional stops at wineries and points of interest. The tour can be accessed online at History Pin, followed by a search for Lake Country Museum, or directly to the Lake Country Museum tour.
In support of the tour the display case at the District of Lake Country office highlights nine of the heritage locations. There are also artifacts associated with driving, including a 1952 BC license plate, oil cans, a tire repair kit, and a Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) badge. A vintage Ferrari steering wheel, on loan from 900 Werks Porsche Specialties, is also featured.
The display was installed by Museum volunteer Karen Gibbons.
