Display: Canada 150

The display at the offices of the District of Lake Country celebrates Canada’s 150th year of Confederation. It features maps showing the changes to the country, from pre-European contact to the current time. On display is a copy of a newspaper clipping announcing the Queen’s 1867 proclamation uniting Canada. There is also a photograph of the Museum’s 1871 Red Ensign flag which can be viewed at the Lake Country Museum & Archives in Okanagan Centre.
This informative display was created by LCMA volunteer, Karen Gibbons.
