Leaves: Stemless or short-stemmed up to 10 cm (4") long; upper ones sometimes unnotched, lower leaves deeply notched, giving a ladder-like appearance; basal ones become pinkish with age; all leaves covered with very short, stiff hairs which tend to cling
Stems: Thin, wiry, white or pinkish, and shining
Blooming Period: May - June
Habitat: Sandy soil in the Dry Interior
