Leaves: Basal, pointed, paddle-shaped on spreading stems, and mats; blades have short stalks, 3 cm (1 1/4") long and 1.3 cm (1/2") wide, green above and greyish beneath; edges often curled under
Stems: Flower-stems round, rigid, and slightly woolly, the creeping stems woody
Blooming Period: June - August
Habitat: Quite varied habitats from lower altitudes in sagebrush deserts, to foothills and up to alpine elevations
