Each Flower: 7 mm (1/4") long and 3 mm (1/8") across, tubular, opening into 2 lips; upper lip 2-lobed, whitish, erect, lower lip 3-lobed, blue; 2 side lobes much larger than middle one which is very small, pouch-like, enclosing 4 stamens and pistil; calyx unequally 5-toothed
Leaves: Lower leaves short spatula-shaped with stalks; upper leaves opposite, more oblong, narrower, less than 5 cm (2") long
Stems: Slender, with very short hairs branching from leaf-axils
Blooming Period: March - July
Habitat: Moist or dry, open or sparsely wooded areas from low to high elevations
