Leaves: Basal, 5-15 cm (2-6") long, downy; leaf appears feathery, leaf segments deeply cleft
Stems: Flower-stems up to 30 cm (1') long, hairy, pinkish above; pair of small, cleft leaves with pinkish stipules halfway up stem
Blooming Period: April - July
Habitat: Moister open banks, often in sagebrush areas and up to higher altitudes
