Each Flower: Up to 7 mm (1/4") across with 5, often pink veined petals about twice as long as 2 sepals; 5 stamens; below each flower cluster 2 joined leaves which vary in shape from almost circular and disk-like to rhomboid-shaped and quite variable in size and colour
Leaves: All basal except for disk-like leaves below flower clusters; blades vary in shape from spatula-shaped to triangular or diamond-shaped, with stalks sometimes as long as flower-stems; foliage varies in colour from green through greyish to coppery colour
Stems: Smooth and unbranched and varying in colour like leaves
Blooming Period: March - July
Habitat: From open sedimentary areas among cactus and sagebrush to shady, wooded areas at lower elevations
