Each Flower: Snapdragon-like trumpet shape, 2.5-5 cm (1-2") long, opening into 2 lips; upper lip has 2 notched lobes with darker rose-red vein down middle; lower lip has 3 notched lobes, yellow hairs at throat; 4 stamens, 2 long and 2 short
Leaves: Opposite, stalkless, broad lance-shaped, ribbed, sticky-haired, 3 cm ( 1 1/4") long, 1.3 cm (1/2") broad, halfway up stem smaller above and below
Stems: Flower-stems in opposite pairs 2.5-4 cm (1-1 1/2") long; main stem green, sticky-haired
Blooming Period: June - August
Habitat: Wet places from sub-alpine to alpine
