Leaves: Mostly from base with long, downy stalks, sheathing below. The many opposite, downy leaflets finely dissected
Stems: Round, ridged, downy, and reddish, especially below
Blooming Period: March - May
Habitat: Open, dry, gravelly, or rocky areas at lower elevations
