Leaves: Arranged alternately in same plane stems, pointed oval from 5-15 cm (2-6") long with parallel veins and heart-shaped at junction with stem
Stems: Branched at 45o angles, rigid and smooth
Blooming Period: April - July
Habitat: Moist, shady woods
