Leaves: Many tightly packed opposite leaves up to 9 mm (3/8") long, egg-shaped and in 4 rows
Stems: Stout and leaf-covered
Blooming Period: June - August
Habitat: Rocky areas and meadows from alpine elevations to above timberline
