Leaves: Long and very narrow, may be up to 9 cm (3 1/2") long, the basal ones having straw-coloured stalks
Stems: Sturdy, finely hairy, straw-coloured below and greenish above
Blooming Period: May - July
Habitat: Dry, rocky open areas from lower sagebrush flats to middle elevations
