Each Flower: 3 petals and 3 sepals all similar in colour; upper sepal and petals on either side have green central band; lower petal forms lip, bounded on either side by sepals, all 3 being greenish-white with no central green band; flower narrows into long spur at least twice as long as lip, the whole being borne on long, twisted ovary
Leaves: 2 or 3 leaves at base, 10-20 cm (4-8") long and usually withered by the time flowers are blooming
Stems: Round, rigid, smooth, and green with several green bracts scatters up length
Blooming Period: July - August
Habitat: Dry or moist slopes in shady areas
