Each Flower: About 13 mm (1/2") across with 6 pointed tepals, similar to Bear-grass but each with a greenish spot at base; 6 stamens enclose shorter styles; stipule where each flower-branch joins main stem
Leaves: Several long and narrow, thick, grass-like, mostly basal, and may be up to 30 cm (1') long and 13 mm (1/2") broad with ridged midrib down the back
Stems: Pale green, rigid, thin, round, and smooth
Blooming Period: July - August
Habitat: Moist meadows and open wooded areas
