Each Flower: 2 mm (1/16") across 5 outcurved petals, 5 stamens with yellow anthers; no sepals, no circle of bracts below each cluster
Leaves: Borne on stalks which are broadened, reddish, and sheath-like at base; as sheath narrows above, generally branches into 3 smooth, green, thin stems each bearing 3 pairs of narrow, elongated leaflets which may, or may not divide again
Stems: May be single or branched, smooth and green
Blooming Period: April - July
Habitat: Drier, open, often rocky slopes and sagebrush flats to moderate elevations
