Leaves: In several opposite pairs up stem, pointed egg-shaped, up to 2.5 cm (1") long, stalkless
Stems: Erect, thin, unbranched, slightly downy, especially above where they are also reddish
Blooming Period: July - August
Habitat: Open alpine meadows and high, rocky mountain slopes
