Each Flower: 10-12 mm (1/2") long, wings shorter than standard and keel. Petals conspicuously finely-striped with deep purplish pink veins; calyx bell-shaped with long slender teeth; 10 stamens, joined together
Leaves: Alternate with opposite pairs of narrow, oblong leaflets about 2 cm (3/4") long; reddish-brown pointed stipules
Stems: Sparsely hairy with long flower-stems from leaf-axils
Blooming Period: May - July
Habitat: Open meadows, roadsides. Location: Scattered throughout Dry Interior
