Leaves: Large with thick stalks which come off main stem in form of large, pale green, ribbed sheath. Blades divided into 3 large leaflets, terminal ones may be up to 30 cm (12") long. Leaflets cleft into 3 lobes, deeply-toothed. Leaves hairy beneath
Stems: Stout, woody, hollow, and hairy
Blooming Period: June - August
Habitat: Moist meadows and streambanks from lowlands to middle elevations
