Leaves: Basal leaves with stalks often longer than blade, up to 10 cm (4") long and 5 cm (2") broad, shallowly but sharply toothed; stem leaves opposite, stalkless, narrow lance-shaped shallowly toothed, reducing in size up the stem
Stems: Several smooth, woody stems from one root stock
Blooming Period: May - to beginning of July
Habitat: Open, dry, and often rocky terrain up to middle elevations. Location: More southerly part of the Dry Interior
