Leaves: Many small, narrow, untoothed leaves within flower-spikes; stem-leaves on side branches in groups; small blades grey-green, narrow, fan-shaped, and up to 2.5 cm (1") long and 7 mm (1/4") broad, 3-toothed at tip and with 3 longitudinal veins
Stems: Woody, many branched, downy, greyish-green above and brown and rough below. Whole plant highly aromatic when crushed
Blooming Period: July - September. Blooms later than Rabbitbrush in southern British Columbia
Habitat: Dry, open, flat areas and hillsides
