Leaves: Triangular, lance-shaped, and sharply pointed with irregularly toothed margins; blades from 4-15 cm (1 1/2-6") long and 2-5 cm (3/4-2") broad at base; lower leaves have stalks while upper ones may be stalkless and arranged alternately
Stems: Green, ribbed, and hollow
Blooming Period: June - September
Habitat: Moist, open woodlands and streambanks from middle to high elevations
