Leaves: Opposite, 4 cm (1 1/2") long, 2 cm (7/8") broad with slightly toothed, lance-shaped blades, short, thickish stalks
Stems: Round, stout, smooth with opposite trailing branches; upper part may be reddish-tinged
Blooming Period: May - July
Habitat: Wet places and slow-running streams, from low to middle elevations
