« Photo Gallery | McCarthy Family Album

Rights to this album were granted to the Lake Country Museum by Donna Day, whose husband, Max Day, discovered the photographs in an old barn on the family property. The photographs are of the Ernest Justin McCarthy family that settled in Lake Country at the turn of the century. Ernest Justin and his wife, Dora, had four children: Justin, born in 1906; Kathleen, born in 1907; Maurice, born in 1913; and Lionel, born in 1915. Kathleen married George Day and they raised their family in Rutland, although their son, Max returned to Winfield to farm.
