The park surrounding the museum building is made up of a picnic area with tables under the trees; a heritage playground; a baseball diamond and a soccer field. The swings, a slide, a climbing stand and teeter-totters in the play area are deemed to be a heritage playground because they are of a sort that are no longer used in public play areas. The soccer field is shorter than regulation size and is used by small groups for pick-up games. The park, just across the street from Okanagan Lake, is beautifully maintained by the District of Lake Country which also gives the Lake Country Heritage and Cultural Society a generous operating grant each year.
