Ninety years ago, on June 22, 1922, the first radio receiver was set up in Lake Country. Northcote Caesar had purchased a radio and had it set up by Messrs. Creyell and Edgar of Vernon. The first signal that he received came from Station KPO in San Francisco and later he received broadcasts from Seattle and finally from Kelowna. Caesar tells of curious neighbours gathered around his radio listening to whatever station came in clearly.
