The newest display in the lobby of the District of Lake Country’s municipal building features the Gibson Heritage House and extends an invitation to all Lake Country residents.
The heritage house in Kopje Regional Park in Carr’s Landing will celebrate its centennial with a Strawberry Tea and Art Show on June 24th. Visitors are encouraged to come out and see an authentic hundred-year-old orchard homestead. The house was built by George Gibson and has been restored and refurnished by community donations. It includes artifacts from the early twentieth century as well as information on local history.
There is a good deal of information about the Gibson House at the Lake Country Museum and on-line as well. For more details view Gibson Heritage House.
