Each Flower: Up to 2.5 cm (1") across with 100-400 very narrow ray petals, giving fringe appearance and surrounding yellow centre of disk-flowers; involucre has many, very narrow, hairy bracts
Leaves: Basal leaves, inverted lance-shaped or spatula-shaped, narrowing towards base into flattened stalks; stem leaves alternate and clasping; blades slightly toothed, downy, especially on undersides of mid-ribs
Stems: Slender, slightly downy, branching above into flower-stems
Blooming Period: May - July
Habitat: Mostly in moist, lush, grassy banks, meadows, but variable in habitat
