When Mr. Venables died, the weather was not recorded for a couple of months. In January 1931, it was moved to the Sundial Ranch where Mr. Northcote Caesar started recording the weather. He was the official recorder until his son-in-law, Hugh Bernau took over recording the weather at the same site.
