Pestles and Mortars have been used for thousands of years in many different cultures. There have been many mortars and pestles found in the Okanagan but none as unique as this particular Pestle. This Pestle has been hand carved into the shape of a chipmunk head.
This artefact was discovered by M.P. Williams near Duck Lake.
